The CWO will champion animal welfare and care outcomes across the entire lifecycle of the greyhound.  From research and injury prevention through to rehoming and industry education, this role is critical in delivering GRNSW’s commitment to social responsibility and best-practice welfare management.  The successful candidate will oversee programs including the Greyhound Care Scheme, Participant Support, and GaP Rehoming, ensuring a high level of transparency and community engagement.

To succeed in this role, candidates must be passionate about animal welfare, able to lead across regulatory and advocacy environments, and confident operating under media and stakeholder scrutiny.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a proven ability to build trust and credibility across government, community, and industry groups.  This is a leadership opportunity that calls for compassion, clarity, and conviction.

Chief Racing Officer @ Greyhound Racing NSW

The CRO will be responsible for delivering best-in-class racing operations across New South Wales.  This includes oversight of programming, club licensing, track curation and revenue optimisation.  The CRO must ensure high-performance delivery while upholding the sport’s integrity, safety and sustainability.  As a senior leader, they will set the standard for operational excellence and work closely with clubs and participants to modernise and grow the racing ecosystem.

We are seeking candidates with deep knowledge of racing (greyhound, harness or thoroughbred), a passion for stakeholder collaboration, and experience navigating complex regulatory and media landscapes.  A commercial mindset, operational rigour, and a reputation for decisive, ethical leadership will be key to thriving in this role.  The CRO will be a trusted partner to the CEO and a visible leader within the broader racing community.

Chief Operating Officer @ Greyhound Racing NSW

This role will drive the execution of GRNSW’s operational strategy across wagering, sponsorships, business development, communications, and infrastructure.  The COO will be responsible for ensuring delivery excellence while balancing agility and strategic alignment.  With oversight of critical commercial and operational pillars, the successful candidate will help shape the organisation’s internal capability and lead performance outcomes through a culture of integrity, accountability, and innovation.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in operational leadership and people management, ideally within sport, racing or related sectors.  They must be commercially astute, stakeholder-savvy, and comfortable leading through complex public and government-facing challenges.  This is a role for a builder and enabler — someone who can set the tone, lead by example, and deliver meaningful progress across all areas of the business.
