Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to drive the organisation’s strategic direction and operational success. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with proven expertise in managing complex industries and delivering long-term sustainable growth.

As CEO, you will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for GRNSW, collaborating with the executive team and Board to create and implement plans that ensure the organisation’s future viability. You will shape the organisation’s strategic direction while being agile in responding to industry trends, leading with a commercial mindset, and ensuring operational excellence.

Your role will involve balancing internal and external stakeholder needs, from engaging with the NSW Minister for Gaming and Racing and other government and industry bodies to ensuring the highest standards of governance and operational performance. You will also proactively manage relationships with sponsors, media partners, and other key stakeholders to foster industry growth and maintain the brand’s positive reputation.

A key part of your leadership will be fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence. You will lead by example, promoting progressive human resources practices that drive employee engagement, build a high-performing workforce, and ensure the well-being of employees. With your leadership, GRNSW will continue to be seen as a preferred employer and a leader in racing safety and animal welfare.

Financial accountability will be at the core of your responsibilities, ensuring that GRNSW’s resources are managed efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for optimising the organisation’s performance and ensuring that its financial objectives are met. In addition, you will bring a strong understanding of the wagering sector and be able to navigate the complex regulatory environment with confidence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in senior leadership, with a proven ability to lead diverse teams, deliver growth through strategic transformation, and handle public scrutiny with resilience. Experience in stakeholder management, media relations, and issues management will be essential to the role, as will a genuine commitment to animal welfare and industry sustainability.
