The CWO will champion animal welfare and care outcomes across the entire lifecycle of the greyhound. From research and injury prevention through to rehoming and industry education, this role is critical in delivering GRNSW’s commitment to social responsibility and best-practice welfare management. The successful candidate will oversee programs including the Greyhound Care Scheme, Participant Support, and GaP Rehoming, ensuring a high level of transparency and community engagement.
To succeed in this role, candidates must be passionate about animal welfare, able to lead across regulatory and advocacy environments, and confident operating under media and stakeholder scrutiny. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a proven ability to build trust and credibility across government, community, and industry groups.
